Support Us
Bloomberg News is among the news organizations to recognize and sponsor the Arab and Middle Eastern Journalists Association (AMEJA). As AMEJA membership continues to grow our mandate becomes more important than ever. Our basic operating budget includes:
- Establishment of a scholarship fund for student journalists
- Enhancement of the AMEJA mentoring program which links journalism students with professionals in the field
- Continuing our commitment to sponsoring educational events and speaking engagements.
- Enhancements to our website to ensure that it remains a critical journalistic resource
- Outreach to youth of Middle Eastern descent to promote journalism as a career.
As our region continues to play an integral part in global politics it is increasingly important that those of us on the front lines of reporting the news are able to interact with the public. By expanding our resources, we can foster greater understanding by allowing journalists from the region to join speaking engagements around the world.
AMEJA operates on a voluntary basis and has no permanent employed staff. All funds we raise go straight to the front line to benefit our members and programmatic work.
We hope that you will consider sponsoring AMEJA and supporting our work. A contribution from your organization or a personal donation, would go a long way to ensuring that AMEJA can carry out the goals listed above. All donations made to AMEJA are tax deductible.
