That journalist associations and media organizations loudly condemn Israel’s willful killing of our colleagues should pass without question. That they demand action by their national governments and international bodies to stop these crimes is a moral and legal imperative.
Shirking this responsibility is a grievous, ethical stain on any group that claims to represent journalists.
We call on media companies and news leadership that purport to support free speech to exert all necessary pressure to immediately stop Israel’s deadly assault on Palestinian and other journalists.
