The Arab and Middle Eastern Journalists Association has announced the finalists to be recognized during AMEJA's first 2022 Excellence in Reporting Awards. 
The inaugural AMEJA Awards will be held in New York City on Nov. 3, 2022 at 5:30 P.M. ET. AMEJA is co-hosting this event with New York University’s Hagop Kevorkian Center for Near Eastern Studies.

At this ceremony, AMEJA will be honoring some of the finest work in journalism by and about Middle Eastern and North African communities. The ceremony will be preceded by a panel discussion: “Reporting on the Middle East: Challenges and Opportunities” featuring Ayman Mohyeldin, MSNBC Host of AYMAN; Mohamad Bazzi, NYU Journalism Professor and director of the Hagop Kevorkian Center; Washington Post Columnist and #544Days Podcast Host Jason Rezaian; and New York Times Reporter Karen Zraick.

The ceremony and the panel discussion will be available through a livestream. The details will be shared on AMEJA’s social media on November 1st.
